I found this in a plowed field along with a musket ball, an 1892 Barber dime,
a 1909D Barber quarter, and a 1923 Merc....It appears that it is a Civil War
Cavalry 23mm coat button....Help me on this Pappy!!....It says on the back "D. Evans & Co., Attleboro, Mass." ......Am I right?....I tried ID'ing it on a website and that's what I came up with.....I really would like to clean it, but I want to know what do I use?.....warmed up peroxide and a soft toothbrush?
or dish liquid?....I was told not to use olive oil because it can get inside the
button and ruin it....Please Help!!!....and thanks.....Bakie7253:bthumb:
