Pappy,
I don't have any items from the Civil War. Just not many places around here where the war got to. I have never had the opportunity to hunt for war relics, Civil or Revolutionary. I would love to find some of that part of history. I am very interested in the civil War and I watch everything I can on the Civli War. We have the History Channel on satilite TV and It has some great stuff on both wars. I have read several books, each with a little different twist on some things, but it is still one of my favorite topics. It was a bad war in a bad time......I don't mean to ramble....I just wanted to sa hey and that I don't have anything, other than words, to post.

MIKE, Great to hear from you. You don't have to have any Civil War Stuff for the forum. It is to be used to TALK about the Civil War Too. So if you have anything to discuss any opinions and such POST EM. The Civil War makes GREAT Talk and was a part of HISTORY that was WELL WORTH STUDYING...Your Ole'REBEL FRIEND....PAPPY :D :D :D

Many Many years ago, as a 5th grader I was at Gettysburg. While messing around Devils Dens I found 2 bullets. One is in great shape. The second one looks like it struck something hard and is all mashed up. Would they have any value?

When I found them I did not know there was law and that I wasn't allowed to pick up anything from the battlefield. When did that law take effect. Maybe I'm not in trouble.

All Civil War Bullets HAVE VALUE. It depends on the type of bullet. Please attach a photo of your finds and I will let you know how much they are worth. I DOUBT SERIOUSLY IF YOU ARE IN ANY TYPE OF TROUBLE from picking up the bullets. The law pretaining to the removal of artifacts from Government Land has been in effect for quite some time. I have been stopped myself from hunting but the officials have always been nice about the matter. Let me see a photo so I can determine their cal. make and value....PAPPY :D :D :D
