Hope ya'll enjoy the pictures, Im not any kind of photographer but I try. This is the first skirmish line, the impressive one is the second but for some reason I didnt get pictures of it this weekend, I'll get them next weekend for sure and also try to get pictures of the graveyard. The bullet picture is of the six differant types of rounds I have dug thus far, there are two three ringers but differant caliburs. The last picture is of a cute kid, the guy in the photo is just some guy that keeps following me around one upping me lol. dang A.J. but thats a whole differant story....HH....Bill

Hey Bill. The first bullet looks like a Williams Regulation/Pistol Carbine bullet. The other is a fairly typical .577 cal. three ringer. And the real beaut is the Multi groove. How jealous am I? Thanks for letting me hunt with ya'.

p.s.- After looking and relooking I take it back. The first is not a Williams. The nose is not flat enough. Some great finds all the same. I know someone selling an unused Fisher 1270 if your interested in getting a new relic detector.

Hey bud, your more than welcome. As a matter of fact the rest of the crew is going to be gone next weekend and if you want to join me it will only be the two of us. I have been stationed here for five years and in just the last month, I have met more people I enjoy being around then in the previous five years, There isnt a bad egg in the bunch and a great group of people. Hope to see you next weekend....HH....Bill

Hey Guys,

Good luck to you next weekend. Don't ya'll hit that second skirmish line and dig up everything before we get a chance at it. We will be getting back with you after our Georgia trip. Guess that will be the first weekend in November. Bill, do you know if you will still be here then? HH to you.

Im not sure if this is going to be it for me or not, will be here next weekend for sure, but its up in the air after that. But ya'll are able to hunt this spot after I leave without a problem. After that me and the wife will have to rely on vacations for me to come back down to CW territory.

Hey Bill. There were alot of Ohio troops mustered in during the war. Just research where they had drill grounds, and camps and don't forget local militia. I am sure with a little time you can find a couple of good spots. I always loved hunting in and around old house sites. some of my best relics came from house sites.

You had a good day. I would bet there will be much more to find when you get back to the line.

Great finds guys! Gotta love those old skirimish lines. Should be alot more out there just waiting to be dug. Are ya'll going to need a fill in for Bill? If so I'd be more than glad to volunteer.

AJ-Nice looking young man you got there.

You guys got my heart a pumpin in looking at them trenches. Think I may just sign up for the Marines! But I'm 39 and too old I recon:frown:

Nice seeing your boy AJ:smile: Glad we don't have them fire ants here in PA but I did get attacked by them when I was in Georgia once. They was under my arm:yikes:

lol funny you should mention this, they are talking about upping the age limit to 41. so your still good to go, but im 36 and its hard to keep up with the young Marines after 30. This here skirmish line is very nice, but as I stated before, the real beaut is the second one. Much longer and in a U shape up on a rise overlooking the whole swamp, everytime I stand in them it gets my heart jumping.....HH....Bill
