The first picture is troop of company D 3rd Pennslyvania at Brady Station VA March 1864
second pic is Abe lincoln oct 3 1862 Antietam MD
third is deck officers USS Monitor
fourth is Richmond VA 1865
fifth is drummerboy Gilbert Marbury from the 22 New York Infantry

There has to be many cannonballs still in the field.
I really enjoyed them pictures Bill. Do you know the location of where they were taken? Wonder if the one with President Lincoln was taken at Bullrun?

The Lincoln photo was taken on Oct 3 1862 in Antietam MD

You tell me. I took these pictures in Feb. at 9:0 pm at Devils Den Gettysburg. It's not dust on the lens because I took some other pictures at a different place and there wasn't anything showing.

one morning and see a scene like this on the hill opposite your camp site. This photograph is from the main eastern theater of war, winter quarters at Brandy Station, Va. December 1863-April 1864.

I guess you could call this a primitive trailer park!! You know, with this many wagons, someone had to loose something climbing in and out of them. Anybody ever hunted a supply route? Could turn up some nice results if you locate the camp sites.
