My Finds Today: 11-23-2005

Hello Friends,
Knocked on a few doors yesterday. No one was home at one place so I went back today and gained permission! Ask a few questions, drove down the field road got my stuff and crossed an electric fence. Within two minutes and my first good signal was the slightly mashed .69 Round. Turns out this was an Old Home Place and the electric fence was driving my machine crazy. I found many other OLD HOME place related brass and lead items. I enjoyed myself very much and may go back tomorrow (after the guys get through Deer Hunting). I haven't a clue as to what the pointed brass item might be, anyone have a clue? The brass key entrance was mangled so I flattened it back out.

Man Roger. Couple nice days of diggin lately. And three toe plates in that time. I have only found three in 11 years of digging. House sites are a lot of fun to dig and can yield some real treasures.
