Here is the directions to the battle of Griswoldville (Griswold).

Griswoldville Battlefield is located 10 miles east of Macon, northeast of State Highway 57. The town of Griswoldville no longer exists. To reach the site, take Route 80 east from Macon. After crossing the Ocmulgee River, drive another 2 1/2 miles and take a left on State Highway 57. Follow this road some 31/2 miles, then take the unmarked paved road to your left. Continue north another 1.25 miles to the railroad, the former site of Griswoldville. Cross the tracks on your right and turn immediately to the right on a dirt road running parallel to the tracks. Continue .4 miles and cross the railroad to your right, then drive another .6 miles to a Georgia Historical Commission marker on the left entitled: Battle of Griswoldville- Deployment and Assaults. Drive another .3 miles to a marker on your left entitled: The Cavalry Skirmish. Continue .3 miles, turn left and drive .4 miles across Battle Line Branch to the crest of the hill. The property is on the left (western) side of the road.

Rusty,

I don't know how you do it. I live about forty miles from the site and I did not know how to get there. Here you are across the country and can give such fine details on directions. Have you been there before, or are you using a gizzmo with GPS? Either way you must be physic because I was wanting to go there and now I have the directions. I did not know it was so isolated, but that is good too I guess. Thanks again.
