12-01-2005 finds

I got out for a few hours tonight and hit a stretch ive hit many times. The old addage is always true that no place is ever truly hunted out. The place I hunted tonight was alittle stretch of grass beside a driveway. Its long but only about 3 foot wide. Tonight I pulled up another new bullet to me. A .44 cal Colt Revolving rifle. I also dug a button back that if it wasnt so dang ate up and ugly would be a very pretty bullet. I've never seen a button back like this, its full of gold what I think they call gilt. Its about half a button back and acouple pieces of the face, unfortunatly my pinpointing was just a tad off and I came down right on it but thats life. I havnt cleaned the pieces yet but it was found in the Confederate part of the camp lol matter of fact I may not clean it for fear of finding out it was a rare confederate button lol .....HH,.....Bill

That little strip of grass has been very, very good to you Bill! I hope that you remember to bring any bullets with you that you want to look up and I'll bring my book! Oh, it is probably best if you just let me bring them home to" study" for awhile!!!!! LOL. See ya' real soon.
