Hello My Friends,
I took my last Vacation day of this year today and went digging. It was 16 degrees when I got up and waited for the sun to do it thing. I went back to the same area as the previous 4 diggings. The finds don't match what I found last outing but I had a good day and enjoyed being off work!!
It was around 10 AM and around 22 degrees when I started swinging (Yes I put on the Goose Down Coveralls). I started beside the electric fence but outside of what I hunted last Saturday and finished the day digging where I hunted last Saturday. I cannot resist digging some of that big Iron and it finally paid off once again with the Lock Plate and Hammer attached. I believe it to be an Enfield but not for sure at present. 1-1889 IH and 3-Wheats, a Patriotic Disc (measures 28MM), the spoon handle is made of lead (and a first for me), 2-Coat size US "I" Buttons and 1-Back with rim. Uncertain to the age of the brass harness buckles but they will be ID'ed and put into my collection as well.
It will be another late start in the morning as it's getting down to 16 once again. I may try another home place that was pointed out to me today?

Thanks For Looking,
Good Luck Digging (If Able To Swing), HH, Roger

Again, very nice digs Roger. Hate that it has to be so cold while digging but those are some nice ones! Keep hitting that spot and maybe hit that ridge line too!
