Johnston and Dow?

After much scrutiny I think I have my new bullet ID'd. LOL!!! Answering my own posts. The measurements are L=.445 D=.690 which is very close to the .44 cal Johnston & Dow bullet. Here are better pics of it!

Hey Travis, I believe you have it now but it looks like the MM 482 as well. It's hard to tell from those old black & white pictures. Maybe you can check out TomH's bullet site to find a good match.

Regardless what it is, It's a great find!

At one point in time I had all of my bullits positivly ID'd including the one pictured here. But for the life of me, I cant remember what it was and dont think I came up with the same conclusion as you have. I have found several of those out to our old digging site. Nice find and sure miss dirt fishing with ya'll....HH....Bill
