Went mud bogging today and dug some relics

The snow melted just enough to turn our latest site into a mud hole. After slopping around for 3 hours here is what I ended up with. The New York coat isnt in real good shape but I'll take it. The item at the bottom is a blade of some sort. Sure hope it dries up some

Nice digs Marc. It has been muddy digging all over the Lower East! Had to deal with that yesterday! The belt end sabre hook is a nice find as well as the stud knapsack hook! That iron piece could be a blade from a side knife or Bowie style knife but it looks rather thick (based on the pic) for a blade!

I wish it would turn a bit muddy here also. The darned ground is just frozen to hard to dig. I'm glad you got out and had a nice time detecting.
