I'm almost embassased to tell much less show what I found today after floating on cloud nine for several hunts!
Well, I decided this morning to return once again. I hit the place I left yesterday evening with nothing to show. I drove as far as I could and walked the 1/2 mile to the other old home place....one suspender buckle, a few shotgun brass and scrap lead. Walked back and drove around to another spot as far as possible. Walked the 1/2 mile to another old home place and back with nothing to show.
I returned to the spot where I found the Lock Plate Friday and hunted it very slow. Some scrap lead, household br**** zinc lids pieces and a very few good finds (the scan shows my slim pickings).
Damaged Suspended buckle, 1920 wheat, two small coin (plain) buttons with backmarks, smallest Good Luck Charm ever, shot pistol ball & RED DIAMOND work clothes button.
Looks as if things have got back to normal for Roger! Time to venture out some more!!
