I got up this morning after it had rained all night and hit the field for a couple of hours. Here's what I found. The bullet (I think it's a Gardner) looks like it may have been pulled. Also there's a couple of broken J hooks.:icon_frow The small pellet lookin things are lead but I don't have a clue as to what they are. Thanks for looking.

Congrats on the nice finds. You had a very positive day. I also like the green background. It makes the finds show up nicely.

Nice digs Mark...and brave to be out this cold morning! The one you said looks like a Gardner looks like it is one. The small balls are either pistol bullets or bucks from Buck -n- Ball bullet (depends on size of them). The last two are modern bulllets! Hey Mark can you take a snap of the bottom/ cavity of the Gardner?

Here's the best I could get. My camera does not take very good closeups. Maybe Santa will bring me a new one for Christmas.

Nice day a digging Mark! I do believe that you dug yourself a Gardner. I agree with Travis about the Bucks or Pistol balls depending on the size and with his statement on the recent bullets.

Still A Good Day!
Continued Good Luck, HH, Roger

Hmmmm, what I don't see is where the paper was crimped into the bullet. It may just be the pic as sometimes the paper attachment seam gets "mushed" together. If it looks like the one I am posting Mark then it is definetely Gardner. I recall a disussion at another forum, and Roger might remember, about the Gardner having an insert. I think that was disproven but you Gardner bullet almost looks that way! Anyway, take a look at this pic Mark and see if your bullet shows the paper attachment seams.

Thanks for the input guys. Travis, I can't make out the seam you're talking about. It almost looks to me that theres a small lip inside about an 1/8" in. Maybe there was an insert there at one time.
