[NB Digger]

It was a beautiful day here in Eastern N.C. ( about 60 degrees) so Mark and I headed out to dig a new spot he got permission to hunt. Hoping to dig up some CW stuff but it looks as though we hit a pre war site or Colonial era house site. The relics were scattered and not in abundance, but that may be due to the heavy amount of plowing this field has recieved. The first pic is of my finds; a round ball and some pistol balls, a brass buckle, what I think may be a broken trigger gaurd, and 4 flat buttons one of which is pewter. One back mark reads "London Gilt". I also posted pics of the field we were hunting, well the quarter of it we hunted. Thanks for taking me Mark and here's to future finds.

Glad you and Mark had great weather and a good day! Nothing wrong with Pre CW Relics! I'll take'em any day over this ALUMINUM JUNK!! Some nice finds and hoping you & Mark continued luck digging!

Travis, anytime that you want to go back feel free to, I'm sure the owner won't mind.:bthumb: I've gotta say even though the relics were few and far between, it was an enjoyable outting. I'll post some pics of my finds later for everyone to see.

great finds you two. I actually got out for about 10 minutes in the yard of this house yesterday. Found 2 quarters, a dime, 4 lincolns and 2 canadian pennies. Not multi-grooves, but still fun and got two kids interested in the hobby (best buds kids).....HH....Bill
