Ok, here are three buttons. One cuff i posted before, center one appears like one, real bad shape, but the lines in the area one can see look like those of a union officer button. One on left is most likely more modern but back is copper/brass not iron.
Then there is the group shot with some smaller brass items. I believe these could be from a knap sack.
Then the square weight which i'll post seperate on what is it section. Look it over, i'll try to post some more later.

Everything but the large button appears to be CW era stuff. The large button is the "Great Seal" button which came into use around the turn of the century and used up through WWII, I believe. To bad that one button is all rolled up!!!! The small is one is a staff cuff button. Defintely some knapsack rivets too! I do not know what the wieght is for, sorry. I saw you posted it to Pappy and I am sure he'll know something.

Hey Pete,
I agree with Travis on the first button being a Great Seal button. Came into use prior to WWI and still used to date. Best I can tell the mashed button appears to be a Great Seal button as well.....I may be wrong, just the best I can tell. The last button is a General Service button as a Staff button would have stars on the outer perimeter of the obverse.
Brass rivets for sure and may be from a Knapsack? I may be wrong but I seem to think (from some recently found information) the weight was used to adjust pharmcist scales?
