2-17-06 Finds

[NB Digger]

Howdy Everyone!
It was a beautiful 70 degree day here in Easter NC so I took off from work early and headed out to dig. Shown below are my finds for the day.

Pic 1- The Bullets:
1- .69 cal three ring
1- .577 cal three ring
1- cut in half and partially melted three ring
2- .54 cal round balls
3- .44 cal Colt Dragoons
I also dug a lot of melted lead but did not figure anyone wants to see bits and pieces.

Pic 2- Misc. Finds:
1- part of suspender buckle
5- brass knapsack rivets
1- button back
2- pieces of clay pipe
1- broken harmonica reed
Did dig some other things that are not worth posting and I still need to make sure they are CW period or not! Thanks for looking!!!!

Hey Travis,
That's a nice dig! I see how you are now :mean: .....slipping off during the week cause it's pretty outside! Well, :wavey: I'll let you by this time cause it was around 40 here today with the North wind blowing 18 and gusting to 28. Ice expected to 1"+ tonight and tomorrow so I'll think about the people luck enough to hunt and wish them Good Luck!!

Hey Will!
Most of the bullets were at about 4 inches or less. This is only because I was hunting where a bulldozer had just cleared a swath of trees for a road! The Colts were in another area and were actually at about 7 inches or so.

Hey John,
The pipe was a cool find. I just wish it had been whole, or at least the bowl been whole. I have found plenty of pipe stem pieces in the past but this was a first for a bowl piece!
