RAW's Finds On 02-25-2006

I was up at 3:15, at work before 5:00 (everything went wrong as usual) and I finally left work at 2:15. Drove to the new place, made my presents known, took off and found a new pocket knife laying on the ground and returned it to the owner. Walked about 300 yards or more, crossed a fence and started swinging (it was close to 3:00 by then). Maybe 10 steps later I flipped my first .69 Round Ball. Then an Enfield, Enfield, nose cast three groove, .69, .69, .69 :multi: :multi: !!!!! I thought I was in HEAVEN! I worked this area slow but hard and returned to talk to the Son of the owner (about 4:30) before leaving to get all the details on the boundaries, etc.
I'll be back there tomorrow as I only hunted a very small section!
The Rounds beside the Enfields measure over .710 but two are chewed. Yes, I feel really bad about the three that jumped right in the way of my shovel! Not bad for this Old Boy in an Hour and a half!!
I also dug 1) shotgun br**** 1) .22 hull, 1) .22 bullet, 1) recent nail, 2) bent pieces of barbed wire & many pieces of barbed wire laying on top of the ground & passed up several targets I thought were buck balls. Was hunting close to and under the big metal tower power lines as well!

Man those are sweet nice littel hunt my butt. I would love to get into some bullets like that. Great finds as always. Hope you have many more.

Oh I see how you are. Don't dig for almost two weeks then just gotta rub it in with all that lead!!!:grin: LOL. Nice digs Roger. I think you may have a better day tomorrow and can't wait to see what you bring home!
