and my area has history in the civil war. As i am right next to Guyandotte which got completely burnt down except one building in the civil war so Im lost on this thing. Its about an inch tall and a half inch wide. it looks as if it had a pin or something on the back a long time ago. Im not sure exactly what it is nor when its from so I was hoping you would know and can help me. Thanks alot. I posted this in the thread above but i realized i put it in the wrong place sorry bout that.

WWII ya say? thats interesting. I found a 30-06 shell about 2 feet from it. It says U.S.C. Co. 18 it was made in the U.K. for U.S. soldiers during WWI. Got a mix of all the wars here lol I just dont see how so many different times are gathered in the same spot at about the same depth.
Thanks tho:multi:

Its not quite as dull as it looks. Thats a scan do to the fact my digi cam sucks. it actually has a fairly nice smooth look to it unlike the scan shows.:spin:

Im awful close to the river for a cemetary. Im several miles from the nearest cemetary that i know of. Unless they moved one from here many years ago i dont believe there was ever one here.
