Two books that I highly recommend for any Civil War or Military relic Detectorist are: Finding Civil War Campsites in Rural Areas and Interpreting History from relics found in Civil War Campsites by Dave Poche. Both are two of our best sellers and well worth the inexpensive price. Packed with extremely useful information on how to locate not only camps but Picket posts, Vidette posts and rest areas, both books give you insight into where to go for maps, web sites, GPS and other great info. These are two books that can jump start even the novice "relic collector." You can own a $1,000+ metal detector, but if you don't have a place to find relics, what good does it do you? Dave Poche is a very proficient relic hunter and a wealth of information. These and many other Civil War related books and CD's can be found on our web site by clicking on the Books/CD's button. Good hunting, David @ Dixie
