NB Digger

Well it has been a very long month and a half for me and the family and I have had little time to detect or be here at the forum. I finally said enough is enough and me and the kids drove home to N. Va. last week for a spring break. Stayed at the home place and was able to do a little digging there and at another very old house. Found some good stuff and I will post as I take pics of the finds. The pics below are of the house I grew up in and where my father still resides. This house is the reason why I love history sooo much and where I got my start relic hunting. It was built circa 1782. There are names of people who visited the house and previous owners etched into the mortar on the big porch in the center of the photo. Some of the dates go back to the early 1800's. The second house (under repair) was built in 1742 and has slave quarters still intact (as pictured). Luckily I know the new owner and he was willing to let me hunt around for a couple of days. There is a pic of me digging and a pic of a few finds. Hopefully I will get more pics out soon! Thanks for looking all and I am glad to be back with ya' all!!!!
