I dug a solid lead object from a Yankee camp. It may have been a stamp or a stencil? It says made in US on it, and appears to have designs of arrows and eagle wings on it. If anyone can id this it would be great. I was surprised I dug a world war 1 or 2 button from that spot also? Anyway we then hunted a old pioneer well near a old road and dug flat buttons and I got a nice suspender buckle with some gilt left on it. Enjoy the pics. Tsgman

interesting array of artifacts there! I have no clue about the large lead piece. The suspender buckle is really nice! I see someone else likes to dig lantern wick pieces as well! Man if I had a dollar for every one of those I have ever dug! They seem to litter the ground at old house site like Bud cans at new house sites! Can you make out patent dates on the wick adjust screw/ turn knob! Many had the patent dates on the outside round part!

I believe the large lead piece to be the post off an old car/tractor battery. It's my opinion as it looks simular to some that I've found in the past.

Continued Good Luck, HH, Roger
