I have an extensive collection of Civil War maps that I can scan in for whomever if they send me a request. The scans will be out of The Official Military Atlas of the Civil War copywrited 1928. The book I have is a 1983 reprint of the original 1983 and the maps are somewhat detailed as far as topography and terrain. You could always superimpose them over existing maps (some are not drawn to proper scale) and get within 1/4 mile of the actual site. If anyone wants a scan of a battlefield, let me know which one (approximate dates are helpful) and location. Some locations were fought over more than once so please take that into consideration!! I will share this info free of charge to anyone interested.

you wouldn't happen to have a map showing the Yellow Bayou battle or one that shows Fort Derussie ( not sure of the spelling, but it is between Marksville and the Red River) would love to have a copy of them.
thanks

It is definitely a great book.
"The official Military Atlas of the Civil War"
Bought on at Barnes and Noble in the Reduced section.
Had about 10 of them for $20.
I looked at the book and then remembered this post.
Thanks.
Heck of a price for a book this size.
Great maps.

Sure hope you can help me out.I've hit a dead end here,May 10,1864 - battle near "Cove Mountain" - same date - battle near "Max Meadows, burned down rail road bridge" Both are in Wythe.County,Va.
Is there anything showing in "Carroll County,Va." I've been told nothing in this area, but I think other wise. If you are in this area sometime, let me know,I'll buy coffee.
Thanks,
