A few carbine bullets from a 1864 skirmish...

been awhile for me too. went two weeks ago. got in about 3 hours of detecting before I could no longer feel my fingers ....:lol: and the snow kept covering my lcd. i would do it again in a heartbeat.:grin: 1 eagle button,1 snap,4 bullets and alot of junk are all i have to show for the effort:smile: thats ok though. will try again soon. good luck! are you close to siloam springs?

Hi Tom , no we live in Northest Arkansas near Jonesboro, well we live between Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Jonesboro Arkansas, but we had a small battle or two about 16 miles from here and they marched all over this corner of arkansas,both army's. we have found what we think is a confederate camp and been getting a few really good relic's there, but the going is hard as most good places are......................jack

great finds again tom.ive only ever found 1 lead bullet(carbine you call them) the rest have been musket balls.do you know when the carbine was first made.
