I found these ealier this summer. I was told one is a 58 calaber musket ball. The thing with the hole in it might be some kind of bullet mold. They were both close to each other. Both of them are white in color. Any ideas on if I am correct?

most likely they are both bullets!! The one with the hole would not be a mold as pouring hot lead into lead would not work. Most molds were made from brass as brass has a high melting point! I would love to see some close ups of the one with the hole in it! Does it have any markings inside the hole, like screw marks? If so it is probably a pulled bullet. If not then maybe carved! Hard to tell with this pic! Hope this humble opinion helps!

There are no markings on the inside of it that I can discern. It is about the same weight as a "D" cell battery. The hole is approximately 3/4" in dia. Looking down on it through the hole it is 1&1/16"wide. And from the side it is 15/16" tall.
