Need ID Help

I went out for a short hunt today and found this item on the way to the spot I was going to hunt. It appears to be lead. I only rinsed the dirt off with warm water and a light brushing with a soft brush. It is pretty round and the weight is 5/8 oz or 16 grams. It looks like it may even have bite marks or something on it. Hope someone can help with this.

Hi Kelvin! It sure appears to be lead and based on you size description coud be a buckshot, pehaps from buck and ball, maybe from shotgun! I would certainly continue to hunt the area for more lead and see what pops up!

I thought that was what I had. It was right here in my yard. It is the first I have dug so I wanted someone else's opinion. I also found a haversack button a short time back in the field across the street. Guess I need to be talking with some of the old-timers and get more info and stories of troops in the area. Thanks for the help.
