Folks,
Here's one that you don't see too often, a gold (plated?) 3 groove bullet used as a regimental pin, complete with engagements.
This was from the most incredible collection that I have ever had the opportunity to view. How often do you see a Tredegar 10 lb Parrott on an original carriage, two howitzers on original carriages, a coehorn mortar and a mountain howitzer on the mule pack... ALL INSIDE THE HOUSE IN THE SAME ROOM!!!! A couple of hundred longarms, many identified, including more than a dozen Richmonds. A couple of dozen identified revolvers, many with the original holster and a photo of the owner. More artifacts than I can list!
Later,
TomH
