Yesterday was a blast.. We started at a new site that showed a lot of potential that Mark had scored us( Thanks Mark ). We hunted for a while with only a few bullets to show.. well Raymond and Danny were the only ones with bullets. Then Mark gets a phone call telling him a lot of dirt was being moved and there area was loaded with relic hunters so we said what the heck lets check it out. Well he was right there were about 15 -20 hunters there having a blast I thought it was neat. However I thin we got there just a little to late as the Large dirt pan's had had really scraped the ground good. Rumors were flying of 7 seven plates being dug earlier and some found a jar with silver dollars in..So you can imaging the excitement.. After our trip to the construction site we headed to and old spot thats been hunted for years , and in the last few week Danny and I were able to find a little hot pocket and we were all able to pull a few good bullets Sorry this was so long it was a long HOT HOT HOT day but a blast

i live in florida and dont have any civil war sites around here. Anybody have any places to go civil war hunting? I would really appreciate it. I just got my first metal detector and ace 250.

Nice finds... sure does help when your tapped into the network, huh? :)
Nice clean drops in there.
Do you guys prefer drops, fired or either? I guess they both have a story that we may never know.

I prefer carved bullets myself. I have several and it seems to mean a little more to me knowing the sat around and carved on them.

Hey Mark..
Very cool, hadn't thought of that. As soon as I find one I am sure they will be my favorite as well..... till I find that buckle or cannonball :)
