2 bullets for id, please.
Both are solid base.

1. D-.526 L-.908

Seems to have 2 grooves and a crimp but it could be 3 grooves?
I looked at the TT83 .50cal Warner and the TT87 Spencer (but too narrow?)... but all seem to not be quite right as the dimensions are off.
It's like it's a .51 cal Warncer http://www.cwpforums.com/forum/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif ... umm just made that up.

2. D-.566 L-.946
http://www.wesart.com/downloads/cwpphotos/car2.jpg

2 grooves and a slightly rebated base.
Looks like a TT96a .56 cal Colt revolving rifle... I also got confused with the Spencer on this one but the grooves on mine seem much lower?

Thanks for any help!

Hey Wes

I think your dead-on on the ID's.....bullets will alwasy vary due to patina and if there fired or just the case of different makers

But nice finds keep'um coming

Later Will

I'm sure Raymond and Sarge will add to my post

Hey Wes i would lean toward on the first bullet to be a spencer
and your second bullet to be a colt revolving
great finds Raymond

Looks like a Burnside to me, dish based. but just my two cents

Hi WeaponUSMC,

Thanks for the reply... I had also considered the Burnside at one point but ruled it out for 2 reasons.

1. My bullet has a high base that's rebated.
2. I do not see a crimp above the grooves (which I do see in the T&T manual)

Could be wrong though.

Thanks again and take care.

I tend to lean toward "relrelics" Raymonds comment. I think he is right on with these. He has a pretty good eye for the details.
