Went to the "Fallen Timbers" area today. Had about 2 hrs to hunt. Checked out about three or four places. Got asked to leave on the last one. I've been hunting that field since 1992 and the owner just said, "there have been too many people just show up and hunt without permission". He said, he was just going to stop it all. Oh well, it has been a very good spot for me and several of my friends in the past. We'll just have to find another one.

This is what I found in about 30 minutes in his field.

Glad You got out for a bit Danny! Not for sure where that place is but I kinda think I know....! Anyway, I want to give a HEADS UP!!!!! I went to Britton's Lane today for a couple HOT HOURS!!!! On the way to the truck, I reminded myself of the Copperhead I "ALMOST" stepped on a few year back! I grabbed my cap, took it off my head, wiped my brow with my forearm, placed the cap back on my head and heard something different. I was walking all the time and could see the house that I had parked at! I paused, turned around and saw the "WHITE MOUTH" of the Cottonmouth I just walked beside.....over......almost stepped on!!!!!! I was just a step away when I stopped!!!!! I turned around and heard the tail shake the leaves again and the mouth was still wide open!!!!!

Be Careful My Friends!!!!!
The Lord, Jesus, & The Relic Lords Were Watching Over Me Today!!
This One Was Around Two Foot Long & The Size Of A Silver Dollar!!
Happy Hunting But Happier Returns, Roger

Copperhead's and Cottonmouth's i guess we all have been lucky, i guess
swinging a metal detector in front of us help's us watch ground it's
when not looking that could be BAD. So be careful.

Roger,

You probably know, it's where those two roads come together, on the right.

Glad you didn't get bitten by the snake. Raymond and I went down to the Cypress Tank area one time and saw quite a few. Down in the bottoms of the Hatchie a couple of weeks back and saw a few shedded skins. Boy, I'm glad I didn't run into the guys that came out of those.

You should have told Ricky you came with me. We can hunt that field any time you want too. I have permission by the owner and him. I cant believe he ran you off!!!!! I will get you written permission if you want it. I used to stay with them when I was little, they are close friends with my parents, And I still go see Faye when Im down that way. When we go back we will stop and I will introduce yall and there wont be any more problems. Sorry you had trouble.
