Hello Stranger! From what I can tell, the bullets seem (the picture is large from all the finds) to be wadcutters? Recent bullets in the .38 to .45 cal. range. But without any reference to size or scale I could be wrong on the size. I do think these to be from a firing range or someone just Plinking in recent years.
Looks like you were digging left and right!!

Hey Roger, thanks for the reply...probably just a few people from the past plinking around...as you know bullets are not my specialty...Didn't know if they where ancient or not...I can put them next to a ruler if you want and was wondering if all CW era bullets would have the white look to them or could they look sometimes similar to this? What do you do to your bullets for cleaning after they come from the ground??? I did find these other pieces next to the lead, will post in a bit (Copper casings???)

Good to hear from you, hope all is well

Not all CW lead will have the whitish patina to it...they may lose it if there in a really wet area or found in creeks.. I personaly love a good bullet with real clean white patina they seem so pretty and you know they have never been moved when you see this even untouched patina.

Keep pluging

Pat,

The round lead ball appears to be CW period.. Like a pistol shot or buck-ball..As for the other bullet I would be guessing modern keep at it do some research and you just might be shocked at what you find.. lots of coin shooter turn to relic hunting and find that they make some of the oldest coin finds they have form camp areas !!!

Pat,

I agree with the rest of the guys, some of the bullets may be from the CW and some are not. I have been hunting CW relics for about the last 19 yrs. and I still find a few coins. Here's one of my oldest. I have seen some dug from the 1700's. But, I haven't been that lucky,YET!!!
