I have been trying to find information or suggestions on where to obtain information on a colt army or navy issue cal 44 revlover serial number 19245 or could be 10245 any suggestions on wher i can research this at and get some information on it? thanks

Well, I just Googled "Colt" and here is your starting point:

If you can't find what you need on the site then I'm sure they would answer your question if you contact them.
I know there are some books out that are used by gun dealers, collectors, etc. that will cross a serial number to a date as well.

thank you ... yes i have been to that site was hopeing to find a site where i could just type in serial number and get some info... are there any sites like this out there for civil war firearms?
