I carried Ken a diggin' today and we went to the Red House. We arrived around 9:00 AM and it was Very COLD! Ken took me on the bullets (I think a total of 18) but I hit the odd stuff again! I dig the bigger iron because of the wormers, gun tools, iron nipple protector with brass chain, etc. that I dug here a few year ago! I'm uncertain to the age of the pocket knives but the one has bone handles. I think the clear bottle was for shoe polish in the 40's or 50's? Uncertain about the brown bottle with air bubbles? Both bottles were eye balled! The slightly gilted US "I" button has a stand up shank with a nice *GODDARD & BRO* / EXTRA backmark. I believe this is my first with that backmark. And yes, can anyone help on the wormer.....it's a different type as well!

Thanks For Looking,
Any Assistance Will Be Appreciated,
Good Luck & Happy Digging, Roger

Nice finds raw war, I especially like that button, I left my button book at work, so I'll check out that back-mark tomorrow (for my info, as I'm sure you already have looked it up). I'll trade you something for it, how about that 1862 penny I found yesterday, or a 8 pack of 9 volt batteries. HH, gary

Great digs Roger! That Eagle is a nice one. The brass item is actually a "wiper"! it was meant to have a rag attached then pushed into the barrel! Again, great digs!

But it's iron and actually called a jag. Many a bullets were pulled using this type attachment and the reason I called it a wormer in the first place. My bad and I stand corrected ;)

Thanks Again & Thanks For Looking,
Trying To Hunt When I Can,
I'm Sure It'll Be 6 Days Again For A Long Time, Roger
