Mlee1969 and I were hunting an old camp area near a river(Both sides occupied this camp, but most finds are union). We were using our large coils. I had a faint hit, and about 18 inches down, I uncovered a stirrup. After about an hour of hard digging, cutting big roots with just shovels, we found the other stirrup and several other iron strips. The last part was about 3 feet down. The only other thing found in that hole was a williams cleaner bullet. We split it up, and he has the other stirrup, and hanger plus one more iron strip that was either the front or back of the saddle seat. I do not know much of anything about saddles. Anyone have info on saddles? Thanks and Happy Hunting gary

That is awesome. The iron pieces are part of the tree and cantle.Thats the back and front of the saddle where the leather would have been stiched around these parts.

I hope ya'll leave each other in your wills that the other guy ges the stirrup :) as they should stay together as a set.Its not often you get the pair,so thats pretty cool in its own.Daniel
