Need Help

Hi everyone. Im new to both sites and were enjoying them and the folks here very much..

Ive been doing massive research on Shermans movements through North Carolina to fayetteville, bentonville and aversboro.. Ive managed to follow his Left and center flanks but I can get a handle on his right flank. ?Pendys (ms joker) family lives in autryville and we have much land there that I think was camped on during this movement. Ive been able to ascertain many clues from the family and from the many books ive read.
If anyone has any info on this area and whereabouts Shermans right flank was id truly be in debt. Pendys grandmas house bears witness to Shermans movements and there are still hoof prints on the hard wood floors and her place is near the south river between the Cape fear and black rivers.

Hi Joker, I'm from the goldsboro area, and from Civil war finds, I know locations after bentonville that were used as camps on the way to Goldsboro. mlee1969 and i usually get together each week and do a little relic hunting. One of our next projects is to dig out a nice fox hole/earth work off the little river in goldsboro. Welcome to the site, and good luck on your research/digging, gary

Yeah I hope to find more info on that area very soon. We will be down there in June and ready to hunt.
