2/3/08 Hunt with GBrown

Gary and I hit our honey hole that we've pounded to death the past couple months. We didn't have too much to show for our efforts today but the weather was nice and it was great being outside. He found 13 small round balls and a few small brass odds and ends (not counting our usual assortment of 12th GA buttons). Anyway, here's what I ended up with. Anybody know what the whazit in the middle of the first pic is? Thanks for looking.

Here are my finds from Sunday with Mark. I did throw all those 12 GA's away. For some reason, my detector was picking up the lead better than usual. Our little hillside was not as productive as the past several weeks. Mark and I hope they deep plow the field this year. All that deep brass hopefully will come to the surface. Maybe that "real" Georgia button will show up. Anyway, we enjoyed the dig. HH to all, gary
