hi everyone,
i know this is a civil war forum but,i just had to ask you the experienced relic hunters to help identify this find.my buckle is the iron one in the last set of pictures.
we had a detecting club hunt at this old 1700's farmhouse and quite alot of relics were found.
i pulled this old iron buckle and a few guys said it was revolutionary war.a nice stir-up was pulled by one member.you can see the stir-up on the stump in the pic. rev war regiments are recorded to have been on this property.would just like some feedback on this buckle any any type of value would be nice to know as well.
thanks for looking and look forward to any replies.

Heavy, could be a "buckle" but more than likely it was used with Horse tack. Your real finds are your one piece buttons and the odd bullet. Interesting finds. GH, David
