I'm new to MD'en.....so I have a lot of whatizits.....all of these pieces were found within 30 yards of each other...I'm not sure what any of it is.....

Hey George,
The group picture is too small for me to see details of the items.
The button is a US "General Service" button. Can you provide a picture of the back showing the backmark (if it has one)? I believe it to be Civil War!!

Roger....there is writing on the back of the button....but I can't read it even with a magnifing glass....I've cleaned the button with war soapy water and a soft brush....I'll try to clean it up some more and get you some more info....the round piece with the rectangle in the middle is brass...even though I have researched it ."somewhat" I can't identify it...another TQ member has dug one in Va. but he is having difficulty identifing his as well...I enlarged the pic that was too small.....thanks for your info Roger.

hello, it looks to be a general service yank button you have there. also a couple pieces of harmonica reed and looks to be a shot bullet - can't really make it out...along with what looks like some railroad iron. you must be near some old tracks. i believe there's more of the good stuff there. hh,
