Harpers Feryy WV 3 Ring

I was fishing recently on the Potomac river in Harpers Ferry, WV. Fishing was great, I sat down to re-tie on a lure and looked to my right.... What a surprise! This little guy was sitting right beside me. I didn't have to dig at all, it was just sitting in the surface of the river bank. This concerns me a little. Is it possible with some of the heavy rains we've had, that with erosion of the river bank, that this could be sitting right on the surface?? I sure hope so! With all the money I've spent on MD equipment, its kinda ironic I'd find my 1st bullet while fishing. I know theres alot of CW history in H.F. WV. Any help in confirming would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks Hoos

Nice eye balling!
Yes they do get exposed by the rain; that is how most arrow heads are found.
Years ago I eye balled a dud 3 inch Parrot shell at the base of a tree that had been pulled up from the ground as the tree roots grew under it.
