Default Somewhere close to home...

This is a site I've been luky enough to hunt over the last year and a half.
These breastworks run for right around a mile, I haven't found that much in this particular area ( other than tons of trash and old tires!?!?) But I have found some nice stuff in the areas leading up to this point and farther behind. I think I need to get me a sniper coil, there are two artillary positions along this section, but both have a lot of old trash all over the area.
It's still very cool to be able to walk, and hunt in places like this. I'll try and remember to take some more pics the next time I'm out there.
The water has been there since I've been hunting there, the level never really seems to change?

Thanks for lookin'

Jamie.

Man thats nice Jamie! keep postin those great pics!

I have some breastworks near an old Civil war camp as well but story has it that originally they were from War of 1812 and and the Confederates reused them during winter of 1861/2 here in Dumfries Va.

Lots of trash in my area too.

I hope to get some time to swing the coil tomorrow!

Great pictures & Must be nice that you can hunt this area!
Hoping you the best finds. Get the better coil if you think it will help.
I'd hunt it very slow and often....

Thanks for sharing, Roger

Look for an area where the water is not so deep that maybe could have been used as a crossing. We found the remains of a "corduroy road" buried under about a foot of muck on one of our digs and pulled some good artifacts from under it. Also, look in low spots for shells. They'd come whistling in at 700 mph and if they didn't hit anything or weren't groundbursts, they'd roll until they stopped...a lot of times in low places that held water that look exactly like your photos. Good luck!!!
