Thanks, same back to you. No hunting today but hopefully tomorrow.
There is a spot along Airport drive that I've been meaning to check out, so I may go there before I go back to the big hole.

This weekend was officially awesome!!!

Hunted two sites, the first site produced a carved on enfield bullet, a very small piece of lead shaped into a rectangle, two percussion caps and a brass sword hanger stud. Along with various iron nails and pieces of artillery shell.

At the second site I found a large piece of iron and my best find of the weekend, two New York cuff buttons. <-- it's my first button of the kind (have only found flat buttons up until now).

They were near each other....perhaps a New York soldier lost both of them in 1862, which is probably when they were dropped due to the history of the site.

Hope everyone was able to get out and dig this weekend.

!! Glad you had a great weekend. Didn't accomplish much myself, but there's always tomorrow. I'm gonna hit a couple of fields in goochland in the morning. Hopefully I'll do better then.

Thanks! Oh, I cannot wait to change the clocks next weekend so I can use that extra hour for hunting in the evening after work during the week.

Nice Finds!! I went out Sat afternoon hunted a Civil war winter camp for bout 3 hours or so....found squat.

Next weekend I may go hunt a mill built in mid 1730's!
