The best source of information is the "Official Records of the War of the Rebellion". There are many volumes of these records written about the various battles, skirmishes and camps of the Civil War, written by officers of both the Union and Confederate forces. There is a table of contents that helps you find by time period and location. Here is a link to free usage of these records. You can also buy the complete set on a cd off of the internet.

Default Has anyone seen these

They're called the "Supplement to the Official Records of the War of the Rebellion". I will include a link to the publisher, they're very proud of them. I contacted them and they have no plans at present, of converting them to CD.

Default Supplement

I sure would like to get a chance to look at these. Just to see if there is some information that I have overlooked in the regular OR's.
